It uses thermal desorption tubes to extract Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from the air, concentrate them onto a single thermal desorption tube, and then analyze them using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The analysis includes the determination of 60 VOCs quantitatively and another 350 VOCs semi quantitatively, plus we identify anything else displayed in the GC-MS chromatogram.
